Description: One print, etching and aquatint on paper, used as a promotional advertisement for Sagot in Paris, depicting Villon's depiction of a mother (standing) and her daughter (seated); housed in a matted, decorative gilt wood frame under glass

Dimensions: 15 in. x 12 in., unframed; 20 1/2 in. x 18 1/2 in., framed
Signature/Markings: Signed within the print in the lower right quadrant
Year of Creation: 1904
Note: Sagot was known to be a shrewd Parisian purveyor of posters and prints and utilized many of Jacques Villon's depictions for advertisements. The models in this depiction are said to be Yvonne Bon and Madeleine Duchamp, the artist's sister. It has been noted that a total of 30 copies were printed for Sagot.
