Description: One print on paper of Marc Chagall’s artwork used for an advertisement for an opening at The Metropolitan Opera House in the Lincoln Center Plaza in New York City in September 1966, illustrating three muse-like figures floating above a cityscape set against a red background, signed in pencil, and housed in a matted frame under glass

Signature/Markings: Signed in pencil in the lower left quadrant
Year of Creation: 1966
Note: This particular print is the second poster design for the inaugural season of the Metropolitan Opera at the Lincoln Center in New York, in 1966. It has been said that the central figure in the posted depicts Rudolf Bing, the Met's director at that time and the man who commissioned the Chagall.
